Simpletin Career Accelerator Program (CAP) — Participation Policy

Applies To: All applicants and participants enrolling in the Career Accelerator Program.
By registering for this program (before payment), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms outlined below. Payment and participation will NOT be allowed unless this policy is accepted.

1. Purpose of this Policy

This policy ensures:
  • Professional conduct
  • Consistent attendance
  • Quality of output
  • Data protection
  • Fairness to all participants
  • Protection of Simpletin’s intellectual property, brand, and client relationships

2. Enrollment Conditions

Participants agree to:
  • Provide accurate enrollment information
  • Comply with all program requirements
  • Accept that Simpletin may update policies with notice posted online or via email

Attendance & Participation Requirements

3.1 Minimum Requirements

  • Live classes: 85% minimum
  • Pod/Mentor sessions: 85% minimum
  • Capstone deadlines: 100% submission required

3.2 Non-Attendance Rules

  • Late arrival (≥10 min) = late
  • 3 lates = 1 absence
  • 1 unexcused absence → Warning
  • 2 unexcused absences → Probation
  • 3 unexcused absences → Removal (no refund)

3.3 Zero Refund Clause

Participants removed due to non-attendance do not qualify for refunds.

4. Professional Conduct: Standards & Violations

4.1 Expected Behaviour

Participants must:
  • Be respectful, collaborative, and punctual
  • Use professional communication at all times
  • Submit work with integrity
  • Follow mentor guidelines

4.2 Misconduct Includes (but not limited to):

  • Harassment, discrimination, bullying
  • Plagiarism or falsifying work
  • Disruptive behaviour in class, Discord, or Teams
  • Sharing confidential info
  • Misuse of Simpletin, client, or peer data
  • Any activity that damages Simpletin’s brand or relationships

4.3 Gross Misconduct (Instant Termination, No Refund)

Examples:
  • Abuse, hate speech, or threats
  • Physical or verbal assault
  • Data breaches or sharing of confidential materials
  • Cheating or fraudulent behaviour
  • Repeated refusal to follow program rules
Note: Simpletin reserves the right to remove any participant at any time, without refund, for gross misconduct or non-compliance.

. Deliverables & Evaluation

Participants must submit:
  • Weekly tasks
  • Pod assignments
  • Capstone project
  • Weekly LinkedIn achievement posts (see Section 9)
Late submissions require approval; otherwise, they reduce eligibility for certification.

6. Certification Requirements

A Certificate of Completion is awarded only if participant meets ALL criteria:
  1. ≥85% attendance
  2. All assignments submitted
  3. Capstone fully completed and passed
  4. Professional conduct with no unresolved violations
  5. Weekly LinkedIn achievement posts submitted consistently (minimum one/week)
  6. No outstanding payments
Simpletin may withhold certificates for any policy violation.

7. Fees, Refunds & Deferrals

7.1 Refunds

  • Before program start → 70% refund
  • After program begins → No refunds under any circumstances

7.2 Deferrals

  • Allowed once per participant
  • Deferral Fee: 30% of the program fee
  • Must be requested before Week 2
Failure to pay the deferral fee = forfeiture of enrollment

8. Data Protection & Misuse

Participants must:
  • Protect all login credentials
  • Never share program data or client materials
  • Respect confidentiality of all learning resources
  • Follow ethical use of AI tools

8.1 Immediate Removal for Data Misuse

Examples:
  • Downloading/exporting sensitive data
  • Posting client briefs publicly
  • Sharing internal documents on social media
  • Uploading confidential materials to public GitHub repos
Simpletin may pursue legal remediation if data is compromised.

Weekly LinkedIn Posting Requirement

To support employability, visibility, and ongoing skills-building:

9.1 Requirement

Participants must post at least one achievement/learning update per week on LinkedIn.


9.2 What Counts as a Valid Post

  • Summary of what you learned
  • Work you executed
  • Insights gained
  • Screenshots/safe snippets of non-confidential work
  • Tags: #SimpletinCAP #CareerAccelerator (optional opt-out for security reasons)
Missing weekly LinkedIn updates will affect:
  • Certificate eligibility
  • Access to alumni benefits
  • Intern-matching opportunities

10. Intellectual Property & Media Release

10.1 What Simpletin Owns

Participants grant Simpletin rights to:
  • Use branded pictures
  • Use graduation photos and videos
  • Use cohort events, screenshots, or testimonials
  • Use class recordings or workshops
  • Use case study highlights
  • Use anonymized performance metrics
  • Use project outcomes for marketing (if not under NDA)
This includes usage during and after graduation, in:
  • Website
  • Social media
  • Brochures
  • Ad campaigns
  • Investor materials

10.2 What Participants Own

  • Personal projects they originated
  • Portfolio materials (excluding confidential client sections)
  • Capstone pieces developed independently

10.3 Client Project IP

  • Owned by the client company
  • Participants may use non-confidential summaries with approval

11. Communication Channels

Official communication platforms:
  • Email
  • Discord (community, announcements, mentor rooms)
  • Microsoft Teams (live classes, project collaboration)
  • Simoodle (assignments, learning modules)
Participants must check these regularly.
Non-responsiveness for 7+ days = inactive and may lead to removal.

12. Liability & Disclaimer

Simpletin provides:
  • Training
  • Mentorship
  • Portfolio projects
  • Employability support
Simpletin does NOT guarantee:
  • Jobs
  • Internships
  • Income
  • Business outcomes
Participants are responsible for their own progress.

13. Automatic Acceptance

By registering for this program (before payment), you automatically agree to:
  • This Policy
  • The Code of Conduct
  • The Refund & Deferral Terms
  • The Data & Media Usage Policies
If you cannot accept these terms, do not proceed to payment.

14. Right to Amend


Simpletin may update this policy as needed. Continued participation equals acceptance

15. Simoodle Platform Onboarding (Post-Payment Requirement)

After completing payment for the Career Accelerator Program, participants will be required to create an account and complete onboarding on the Simoodle platform.

The onboarding process includes:

  • Creating a Simoodle account

  • Completing participant profile information

  • Accessing orientation materials

All program and activities learning modules, assignments, announcements, and important resources will be managed through Simoodle.
