SIMPLETIN CAREER ACCELERATOR TERMS OF SERVICE & PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT

TERMS OF SERVICE & PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT

Effective Date: Upon electronic acceptance
Programme: Simpletin Career Accelerator Programme (CAP)

1. About This Agreement

The Simpletin Career Accelerator Programme (CAP) is a practical career development program designed to help participants build career direction, professional skills, practical experience, portfolio evidence and workplace readiness.
This Terms of Service & Participation Agreement sets out the expectations and responsibilities that apply throughout a participant’s involvement in CAP.
By accepting this agreement, the participant confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to comply with the requirements outlined below.

2.Programme Participation & Enrollment

Participants are expected to actively participate throughout their CAP journey.
Participation may include:
  • Career development activities
  • Learning sessions
  • Mentoring and coaching
  • Practical projects
  • Team activities
  • Deliverables
  • Portfolio development
  • Professional development activities
  • LinkedIn Activities
  • Feedback and review sessions
  • Other activities agreed as part of the participant’s CAP package.

CAP is a career development programme and does not create an employment, partnership, agency or contractor relationship between the participant and Simpletin.
Participation in CAP does not guarantee employment, internship placement, income or any specific career outcome.

3. Participant Responsibilities

Participants are expected to take ownership of their participation and career development.

Each participant is responsible for:
  • Understanding the activities and expectations associated with their CAP package.
  • Attending scheduled sessions and activities.
  • Arriving prepared and on time.
  • Completing agreed deliverables.
  • Meeting agreed deadlines.
  • Reviewing instructions and requirements before submitting work.
  • Responding to feedback and making required improvements.
  • Communicating promptly when they encounter a challenge.
  • Asking questions where clarification is required.
  • Managing other commitments responsibly.
  • Maintaining professional communication and conduct.
  • Taking responsibility for the quality and completion of their work.
Participants should not wait until a deadline has passed before communicating a problem that could reasonably have been identified earlier.

4. Work Planning, Deadlines & Deliverables

CAP may involve recurring tasks, project responsibilities and agreed workflows.
Where Simpletin establishes a deadline, meeting time, submission requirement or workflow, the participant is expected to follow it.
Participants must:
  • Understand what has been assigned to them.
  • Confirm or seek clarification where requirements are unclear.
  • Plan their time appropriately to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Complete work within the agreed timeframe.
  • Ensure all required components are included before submission.
  • Review their work before sending it.
  • Make revisions where feedback requires changes.
  • Communicate before the deadline if a genuine issue may affect delivery.
Silence does not constitute an extension of a deadline.
Participants should not assume that a deadline, meeting, task or requirement has been cancelled or changed unless this has been communicated or approved by the relevant Simpletin representative.
Where a participant has competing academic, personal or professional commitments, they are responsible for communicating this early enough for reasonable adjustments to be considered.
Repeated failure to meet agreed deadlines or complete deliverables without appropriate communication may result in a performance warning, probation or removal from the programme.

5. Attendance, Availability & Punctuality

Unless otherwise stated for a specific CAP package:

  • Live sessions: Minimum 85% attendance.
  • Mentoring/coaching sessions: Minimum 85% attendance.
  • Required project/capstone deliverables: 100% completion.
Participants are expected to arrive on time and prepared.
Where a participant cannot attend a scheduled activity, they should notify the relevant Simpletin contact as early as reasonably possible.
Attendance alone does not constitute participation.
Repeated unexplained lateness, absence, missed work or lack of engagement may affect programme progression.

6. Communication & Responsiveness

The official CAP communication channels are:
  • Email
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Simoodle
Participants are responsible for regularly checking these channels.
Participants are expected to:
  • Respond to important programme communication within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Acknowledge important instructions where required.
  • Communicate when clarification is needed.
  • Notify the relevant Simpletin contact when they will be unavailable.
  • Raise challenges early rather than allowing them to affect deadlines or project delivery.
As a general expectation, important programme communication should be responded to within one working day, unless a different timeframe is specified.
Participants should not rely on failure to check an official communication channel as a reason for missing an instruction, deadline, meeting or programme activity.

7. Feedback, Performance & Accountability

CAP is designed around continuous learning and improvement.
Participants should expect to receive feedback on their work and may be required to revise or improve submissions.
Participants are expected to:
  • Receive feedback professionally.
  • Ask questions where clarification is needed.
  • Apply reasonable feedback.
  • Resubmit work where revisions are required.
  • Demonstrate improvement over time.
Simpletin may review participant progress based on participation, quality of work, completion of deliverables, professionalism, responsiveness and application of feedback.

8. Professional Conduct & Project Expectations

Participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally throughout CAP.
This includes:
  • Professional and respectful communication.
  • Accountability.
  • Honesty and integrity.
  • Collaboration.
  • Respect for deadlines.
  • Respect for Simpletin staff, mentors, clients and fellow participants.
  • Completing agreed responsibilities.
  • Escalating challenges early.
  • Maintaining professional standards during project and client activities.
Where participants contribute to practical projects or client-related work, they are expected to treat those responsibilities with the same level of professionalism expected in a workplace.
Participants must not engage in harassment, bullying, discrimination, threats, dishonesty, plagiarism, fraud or other conduct that may negatively affect Simpletin, its clients, partners, staff or other participants.
Serious misconduct may result in immediate removal from the programme.

Where appropriate and authorised, Simpletin may use approved programme photographs, testimonials, screenshots, recordings or non-confidential project highlights for programme communication and promotional purposes.

13. Fees, Refunds & Deferrals

Program fees are payable according to the participant’s agreed payment arrangement.
Unless otherwise stated in the participant’s package or payment agreement:
  • Before program commencement: 70% refund.
  • After program commencement: No refund.
Where participation is terminated due to misconduct, repeated non-compliance, non-attendance, or other breach of these terms, no refund will ordinarily be provided.
Participants may request a deferral subject to Simpletin’s approval and any applicable deferral conditions.

14. Withdrawal, Probation & Termination

Where concerns arise regarding a participant’s participation, performance, conduct or responsiveness, Simpletin may use the following process:
Stage 1 – Reminder / Initial Concern
The participant is informed of the concern and given an opportunity to address it.
Stage 2 – Formal Warning
Where the concern continues, a formal warning may be issued.
Stage 3 – Probation / Development Plan
The participant may be placed on a development or probation plan with specific expectations and timelines for improvement.
Stage 4 – Removal / Termination
Where the participant does not demonstrate sufficient improvement or continues to breach the program requirements, Simpletin may terminate their participation.
Serious misconduct may result in immediate termination.
Participants who voluntarily withdraw should notify Simpletin formally.
Withdrawal does not automatically create a right to a refund.

15. Certification & Career Outcome Disclaimer

A Certificate of Completion may be issued where the participant satisfies the applicable program requirements.

These may include:
  • Meeting the required attendance level.
  • Completing required deliverables.
  • Completing required projects or capstone activities.
  • Participating appropriately in the programme.
  • Maintaining acceptable professional conduct.
  • Meeting applicable payment obligations.
Simpletin may withhold certification where significant program requirements remain incomplete.
CAP provides career development, practical experience and professional development support. However, Simpletin does not guarantee employment, internship placement, salary, promotion, business success or any specific career outcome.
